Candlelit Dinner Wedding

After the dinner party wedding I went to a few weeks ago, my mind has been spinning with ideas for a low key, family-only, intimate dinner reception. I took some inspiration from this picture of my icon, Jacqueline Kennedy, preparing for one of her infamous dinners to put this inspiration board together–doesn’t she look like she could be a bride in that shot? I’m imagining a sentimental private ceremony, the bride changing into a sassy dress for pictures with her groom, and then a dramatic, slightly-rustic dinner party late in the evening. Plenty of candles, dark linens, letterpressed menus on black paper, and unique dishes served family style would all be a must!

So what do you think–would an intimate dinner cut it, or would you miss the dancing and traditions too much? I’m definitely leaning toward the latter, but that doesn’t mean I can’t admire the former! :)
