Hi from Texas! I’m so happy to be home with my family this week–it’s the first time we’ve all been together since my wedding, so it’s extra special! It’s also Dave’s first Thanksgiving at my house, so I’m looking forward to introducing him to my family’s little traditions, especially my mom’s chocolate chip pecan pie. What are your plans for Thursday? I think Thanksgiving Day can sometimes be a little hard to dress for, especially if you’re spending it in a different place than usual–you want to look presentable enough to see extended family members or meet new people, but still comfy enough to watch football on the couch or help yourself to a second helping of mashed potatoes. I rounded up these five looks with that in mind, and I love that they all include polished, but cozy, staples that I’m sure you already have in your closet!
A textured blazer and leopard booties by Ivory Lane
A comfy dress in a fabulous fall print by Classy Girls Wear Pearls
Layered gingham and brights by Bows & Sequins
Plaid flannel, red lips, and boots by A Lonestar State of Southern
Cozy knits and leopard accents by Sequins & Stripes
What are you wearing on Thursday? After running in the Turkey Trot 5K, I’m thinking of changing into my navy gingham shirt, black pants, and black bow flats (super similar to these) for the last day of my fall capsule wardrobe!
