This past weekend, I was so honored to be a bridesmaid at my sweet friend Mariela’s wedding. She and her new husband are wonderful together, and she was an absolutely gorgeous bride. I’m always so happy to get a break from just looking at weddings on the internet, as much as I love that, and attend in person–it definitely reminds me of everything that is truly important about a wedding day. Mariela asked me to take pictures of some of the details getting ready and at the reception, so I thought I would share a few of my favorite shots today. Thank you, Mariela and Joey, for letting me be a part of your special day!

Bold Colorful Chicago Wedding
March 25, 2013
Today’s wedding looks so fun. I often use words like gorgeous and sweet to describe the weddings I feature, and while this wedding is absolutely both of those things, the first word that comes to my mind is just fun, and I love that! The bride and groom, with the help of the incredibly talented Jesi Haack, created a wedding full of color, pattern, and the most unique details. Everything came together so flawlessly, and the result was a stylish party unlike anything I’ve ever seen. I know you’re going to love it!

Romantic Southern Beach Wedding
March 11, 2013
When a bride has been dreaming about her wedding since she was 13, you know it’s going to be like something out of a fairy tale, and this dreamy Florida wedding most certainly is. From the elegant venues of the Carillon, to the most breathtaking mixture of pink and red blooms, to a night of dancing under the stars, every detail is so romantic. I love the peaceful joy on the bride and groom’s faces in every picture, and their seaside portraits are some of the prettiest I’ve seen to date. Enjoy!

BHLDN Week: Sparkly Rustic Wedding
January 7, 2013
Welcome to BHLDN Week! I am overjoyed to bring you this week of posts that I’ve collaborated on with BHLDN, and I hope you love what’s in store. To start this exciting week, I wanted to share a wedding that truly celebrates the brand’s whimsical, unique, and charming aesthetic. As you can see in these fabulous images by Crissie McDowell Photography, this wedding does just that. The beautiful bride, Katie, drew tons of inspiration from BHLDN, and not only did she rock one of their fabulous gowns and pairs of shoes, she also incorporated some of their products into her decor. The result was completely sparkling fun, and I can’t think of a better way to show you what BHLDN is all about. Enjoy!
