1. Gold NYE Wedding Inspiration

    December 31, 2012

    Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We’re finishing up the year on Something Pretty in the prettiest way I could think of–a glamorous, sparkly, gold and pink New Year’s Eve wedding inspiration shoot that was brought to life by some of Dallas’ finest. This shoot, in a word, just makes me happy. When I started blogging over two years ago, my reason was to write about things that do just that, and this shoot reminded me of my original goal in a big way. So cheers y’all, to the perfect bouquet wrapped in gold sequin ribbon, to personalized champagne labels, to seriously stylish cake tables, and to making 2013 the happiest year yet!

  2. Elegant Glamorous Winter Wedding Inspiration

    December 17, 2012

    I tend to gravitate more toward rustic and cozy when it comes to Christmas and winter decorations, but this glamorous styled shoot had me at velvet linens! A similar look (blush blooms, gray linens, lots of crystal) would be gorgeous any time of year, but in this case, the understated Christmas accents, like the Silent Night signage and sparkly white trees, make this shoot perfect inspiration for a December wedding.

    What’s your favorite detail? I’m especially loving the silver julep cups the flowers are in–it makes me even more anxious to hunt some down for myself! Thank you so much to She Wanders Photography for letting me share this beautiful shoot!

  3. Snowy Winter Wedding Inspiration

    December 3, 2012

    Happy December! I’m thrilled that this month is finally here, especially because the end of the semester (I’m done this Friday!), Christmas, and winter weddings are just a few of my favorite things. To kick off December on Something Pretty, I have a gorgeous, snowy winter styled shoot by Love is a Big Deal to share. From the rustic details to the pops of red against the snow, every detail is so lovely!

    I am head over heels in love with them, but how do you feel about a snowy wedding? Thank you so much to Meg and Josh from Love is a Big Deal for letting me share their beautiful pictures!

  4. Rustic Glam Autumn Styled Shoot

    September 17, 2012

    It’s always interesting when you hold a pretty strong opinion, and then something comes along and blows that opinion out of the water. That’s how it was with me and this gorgeous styled shoot. I usually can’t stand autumn wedding colors because I’ve never seen them done in a chic way, but this shoot is perfectly glamorous, rustic, and elegant. Autumn wedding colors, I concede. When done like this, I can’t help but swoon!

    {Vendors: Photographer: Mikaela Ruth Photography| Venue: Saar Bank Farms (e-mail saarbank@gmail.com)| Styling: Vintage Home| Dessert table: Whitney Barkman (e-mail whitney_barkman@hotmail.com)| Florals: Confetti Floral Design| Bridal styling: Ashley King of Wedded Bliss}

    Aren’t the details incredible? The amber glass and white pumpkins are two of my favorites, and don’t even get me started on that dessert table! Thank you so much to the wonderful photographer, Mikaela, for letting me share her gorgeous work!

  5. Derby-Inspired California Styled Shoot

    June 25, 2012

    Hey y’all! I missed this little blog last week, but taking the week off to focus on other things was much needed and very helpful. I’m excited to be back today with this beautiful styled shoot from 410 Studio–a bridal shower inspired by the opening day of the Del Mar Horse Races in San Diego. The sunny colors, gorgeous flowers, fabulous hats, and darling dessert table are perfect for a summer shower, and you know how much I love horses!

    {Vendors: Photographer: 410 Studio Photography| Venue: The Condor’s Nest Ranch| Event designer: Designs by Spring| Florals: Studio B Flowers| Equipment rentals: White Wedding Day Events| Paper products: Paper Scissors Print| Dessert table: Pop Culture Desserts|  Hair stylist: Hair Ya Go, Pinned by Betty| Makeup: Blush Makeup Artistry by Laura Crivello| Accessories: Sara C| Jewelry: Sandra Nicole Designs| Miscellaneous props: West Elm| PR: Mackenzie Marketing and Design| Submission via Two Bright Lights}

    Themed bridal showers are always so much fun–both to attend, and to admire! I’m thinking a bridal shower inspiration board might be around the corner… any theme suggestions? :)
