1. Girly Glamour

    As I mentioned last week, I’m putting fun inspiration boards together for my roommates and friends–basically, if I could plan all of their future weddings, this is what I would choose for them. This particular board was designed with my fashion-loving roommate, who is obsessed with the 20′s and 50′s, classic movies, Marchesa, and the color pink, in mind. When I asked her if something was too girly, she said “Is there really such a thing?” :)

  2. Elegant Glamorous Winter Wedding Inspiration

    I tend to gravitate more toward rustic and cozy when it comes to Christmas and winter decorations, but this glamorous styled shoot had me at velvet linens! A similar look (blush blooms, gray linens, lots of crystal) would be gorgeous any time of year, but in this case, the understated Christmas accents, like the Silent Night signage and sparkly white trees, make this shoot perfect inspiration for a December wedding.

  3. Classic Romantic Ranch Wedding

    After blogging for almost two years and reading wedding blogs/magazines for years before that, I have a pretty extensive mental list of favorite vendors and venues from all over the world. Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu, California lands pretty high on the list of favorite venues, which is why I’m thrilled and honored to share this wedding today, photographed by Picotte Photography. The blush details, daring wedding dress, luscious florals, and gorgeous ceremony space are proof that choosing wedding details you love trumps choosing whatever is trendy–I would never guess from glancing at it that this wedding took place in 2010. Also…there’s a zebra, which is pretty much the most amazing detail ever!

  4. Swiss Dot and Dahlia

    If there was a song about my favorite things, swiss dots and dahlias would both make the first verse. I love how elegant, but whimsical, both of these things are, and thanks to a few seriously gorgeous pictures I’ve been collecting for awhile, this inspiration board was a breeze to put together. They definitely don’t always come this easily, but having a very clear vision and a few key details I wanted to include in mind helped a lot. There’s a little tip for all you wedding planning girls out there! :)

  5. Autumn Prep

    When I make inspiration boards, I come up with a theme or style first, and then try to think of how I personally would execute that look. In that sense, I think inspiration boards are the biggest way you can see my style on Something Pretty. I’ve been thinking for awhile now about how to make things even more personal and bring y’all into my life more on this blog (if you’re interested, that is! Let me know!). For now though, my hypothetical preppy autumn wedding would consist of a loose burgundy and blush color scheme, monograms, Southern comfort foods, and understated classic details.
