1. Whimsical Spring Brunch Wedding

    March 5, 2013

    Spring was the farthest thing from my mind during my weekend in Syracuse, where it snowed on and off the whole time, but yesterday, Austin decided to show off with a glorious 86 degree day. Now I can’t stop thinking about spring flowers in abundance, Easter-reminiscent pastels, and al fresco brunches. Today’s inspiration board is a collection of all those things: a spring Sunday brunch wedding full of soft peach, mint and pink hues, charming details, and one of the prettiest cakes I’ve ever seen.

    What do you love most about spring?

  2. Favorite Fall Colors

    September 18, 2012

    After that incredibly gorgeous autumn styled shoot I shared yesterday, I thought I’d keep the celebration going by sharing some of my favorite fall colors today. When it comes to clothes, I’m all about adding touches of seasonal color and pattern (pastels in spring, brights in summer, deep colors in fall, and sparkles in the winter!) to neutral basics, and I think the same principle fits seamlessly into wedding planning. These are a few of the colors I’m drawn to right now, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they keep popping up on my favorite wedding blogs!

  3. Nautical Kate Spade-Inspired Wedding

    April 30, 2012

    Some weddings seriously hit it out of the park, and this is one of them. Between the beautiful bride decked out in Kate Spade accessories, to the groom in uniform, to a gorgeous navy and coral color scheme, to the most perfect nautical invitation suite, this wedding has got to be one of the sweetest and most stylish soirees ever! I can’t decide if my favorite detail is the personalized anchor monogram that appears on all of the amazing paper products, the polka dot ribbon-wrapped bridesmaid bouquets, or the nautical tables covers. But then again, who said I had to choose? :)

    {Vendors: Photography: Alice G Patterson Photography| Ceremony venue: St. Mary’s Cathedral| Reception venue: Gran-View on the River| Invitation suite and paper products: Posh Paperie| Bridal gown: Mikaella| Bridal shoes and jewelry: Kate Spade (necklace, earrings)| Florals: Waddington Blooms| Cake: Kathy’s Cakes| Band: The Bob Cooper Band}

    Another amazing thing about this wedding is that the bride and groom unknowingly bought each other the same “My Anchor” cards (from smockpaper) to exchange on the big day. How perfect is that?

    Thanks so much to the photographer, Alice G Patterson, for letting me share this lovely wedding!

    Love,

    Lisa

  4. Art to Inspiration

    April 4, 2012

    Time for my 2nd Art to Inspiration post! For those who don’t know, Art to Inspiration is a really fun blogger collaboration that Supal from Chevron and Eclairs started. A ton of amazing bloggers are posting outfits, product round-ups, interior design ideas, and lots more today, all inspired by this beautiful piece of art–”2 years 264 days and this morning” by Pakayla Rae Biehn. I made a wedding inspiration board (shocker, I know :)), and was especially inspired by the pink-to-coral ombre, the dark green background, and all the light pouring in through different places.
