1. Emerald Bridesmaid Dresses

    I gravitate toward soft pinks and deep blues any day of the week, but since green has never really appealed to me much, I wasn’t too excited about Pantone’s choice for the color of 2013–emerald. It wasn’t till I started looking for emerald gowns that I began picturing a winter wedding at a gorgeous cathedral, complete with a bride carrying a vintage muff, a groom in a sharp black tuxedo, and bridesmaids in deep emerald carrying white bouquets full of texture (maybe something like this). And well, emerald grew on me a little :) Here are a few emerald dresses I’m loving for bridesmaids or party guests.

  2. Love List

    I’ve been home from school for a week now and it has already been so rejuvenating. My mom put up our Christmas decorations this week, we’re getting our tree today, and my sister will be home from Pittsburgh tomorrow, so it feels more and more like the holidays every day. A few more things I’m planning to do before Christmas are going to the Houston Ballet performance of The Nutcracker with my mom, baking madeleines (anyone have a favorite recipe?), and watching A Christmas Story. Anyone else have fun plans to get into the holiday spirit?
