1. Sweet Southern Plantation Wedding

    March 4, 2013

I was so delighted to receive this charming Charleston wedding in my inbox a few weeks ago, and ever since I started scrolling through the pictures, I’ve been extra excited for spring!.  Between the flowy J. Crew bridesmaid dresses, the completely gorgeous bouquets, the cowboy boots to change into for the reception, and some of the prettiest portraits I’ve ever seen, this wedding is the perfect way to kick off March here on Something Pretty.

  2. Printable Bridesmaid Cards

    August 21, 2012

Thank you SO much to everyone who commented and tweeted to me yesterday about the new design! I’m thrilled that you all seem to like it as much as I do, and it makes me even more excited to share today’s little surprise! Along with designing and coding everything for the new design, Kelsey also was sweet enough to come up with this adorable, free printable card, exclusively for Something Pretty. We thought that a “Will You Be My Bridesmaid” card would be the perfect gift for all you gorgeous brides out there–after all, everyone wants to ask their bridesmaids to stand with them on the big day in a special way, but who really wants to add to their wedding expenses? The typography on the cards was completely hand-drawn by Kelsey, and once you print them and cut them out, they’ll fit into an A2 envelope (my favorites are the colored ones from Paper Source). Additionally, the card comes in three of my favorite colors: gray, peach, and mint!

Download the cards by clicking on the color you want and saving the PDF!

    GRAY          PEACH          MINT

Please pin and share with your friends–the more the merrier!

  3. Sweet DIY North Carolina Wedding

    August 6, 2012

This wedding may be one of the sweetest I’ve ever seen! As if the mint and soft pink color scheme wasn’t enough, the paper products are gorgeous, the flowers are stunning, and don’t even get me started on that tassel balloon. Plus, the ceremony arch? Divine. I won’t spoil anymore of this charming wedding–see for yourself!

  4. Derby Mint

    May 2, 2012

Something close to the top of my bucket list is attending the Kentucky Derby. I’m from horse country Virginia, but just as I got old enough to start going to the derbys, my family moved abroad. I remember being jealous every year of my middle school friends in their cute dresses and hats! To make up for those missed events, I have my eye on Churchill Downs and all of the amazing Southern traditions that go along with it. One of the most iconic traditions is the mint julep, so in light of both Derby Week and the fact that mint green is pretty much the “it” color this spring, I pulled together this sweet inspiration board.

I would love to attend a derby-inspired wedding like this–someone have one and invite me, please! :)

    Love,

    Lisa
