1. Vintage Barr Mansion Wedding

    June 4, 2012

    The Barr Mansion is one of Austin’s many wedding industry bragging rights. Not only is it a gorgeous seafoam green Victorian mansion, it’s also the only certified organic events facility in the country. I have been wanting to share a Barr Mansion wedding on Something Pretty for ages, so I’m so excited to be posting one today! This romantic vintage wedding was full of gorgeous details, all photographed beautifully by Caroline+Ben Photography.

    {Vendors: Photographer: Caroline + Ben Photography| Venue: Barr Mansion| Bridal gown: Maggie Sottero| Bride’s shoes: Zigi Soho| Makeup: Keep Austin Gorgeous| Groom’s attire: Hickey Freeman| Videographer: Hardeman Films| Florals: Melanie Tipton at Last Petal| Event planning: Rick Rabon at Barr Mansion| Bridemaid dresses: Watters| Table numbers: Mason Rabbit’s Paperie| Hanger: Wisconmom}

    When the bride is a vintage-loving, DIY-savvy hopeless romantic, the wedding is bound to be incredible, and I think this one goes to show just how true that is. I absolutely love the stacks of vintage china and that stunning old door backdrop behind the cake, and of course, the Barr Mansion is the perfect setting for it all. Thanks so much to Caroline for letting me share this lovely wedding!

    Love,

    Lisa

  2. Art to Inspiration

    April 4, 2012

    Time for my 2nd Art to Inspiration post! For those who don’t know, Art to Inspiration is a really fun blogger collaboration that Supal from Chevron and Eclairs started. A ton of amazing bloggers are posting outfits, product round-ups, interior design ideas, and lots more today, all inspired by this beautiful piece of art–”2 years 264 days and this morning” by Pakayla Rae Biehn. I made a wedding inspiration board (shocker, I know :)), and was especially inspired by the pink-to-coral ombre, the dark green background, and all the light pouring in through different places.

    {Short wedding hairstyle: BHLDN| Italian Greyhound with Rosemary Sugar: Family Style Food| Ombre tulips: Wild spirit, found via Camille Styles (let me know if you have the proper source!)|Figs: Dolce Vita|Table setting: Robert Sukrachand Photography via Once Wed| Bridesmaid dresses: Martha Stewart Weddings}

    If you like this series, be sure to check out the other bloggers participating on the Chevron and Eclairs facebook page on Friday. Even better, if you want join, just fill out this form!

    Love,
