1. August Inspirations

    August 1, 2012

August is always an exciting month for me! My mom, my brother, and one of my sisters are celebrating birthdays, summer school is finally ending, and at the end of the month, I’ll be starting the fall semester living with three of my lovely friends. I’m planning to cram as many fun summer activities as I can into August, including dressing up in bright colors and patterns, eating lots of fresh produce (and birthday cake), and of course, admiring and sharing the prettiest of summer weddings. Here are a few inspirations for the month!

Wedding inspiration: Gingham emulates summer picnics, so this charming invitation suite stole my heart. Bright blue gingham envelope liner, kraft paper, calligraphy, and cute stamps to boot? Yes please!

Fashion inspiration: Effortless is always best in the summer, and even though my closet is sorely lacking in the sundress department, a simple dress with a few basic accessories is a look I always admire.

Foodie inspiration: No-Bake Oreo Chocolate Cherry Tarts. A perfectly decadent way to enjoy the summer cherries that I can’t stop eating!

Interior design inspiration: A crisp, New England-inspired look is a favorite of mine, both in fashion and design. I’m in love with these white and blue cabinets, separated by some shiny white subway tile. The marble counters round everything out beautifully.

What’s inspiring you this month? Any fun plans on the horizon?

    Love,

    Lisa
