1. Love List

    July 27, 2012

    Happy Friday! It’s definitely a happy one over here–I’m finished with my hardest class of the summer (French), my boyfriend is here for the weekend, and I’ve had a great week working on my internships. Even though I know I’ve done my share of complaining about my workload this summer, feeling so accomplished and proud of my work makes it all worth it. Though of course, I wouldn’t be able to do it without my blog breaks, and there were some of the most gorgeous features on my favorite sites this week! Here are a few.

    {If you’ve ever wondered what an Anthropologie designer’s wedding would look like, well, here you go. I adore the white color scheme, natural textures, and of course, her dreamy gown. By Love Me Do Photography via 100 Layer Cake}

    {Speaking of dreamy gowns, here’s a serious favorite for the week! The floral appliques are a dream, and I thought this picture captured the floaty fabric perfectly. By Marianne Wilson Photography via Style Me Pretty}

    Any fun last-weekend-of-July plans? It’s gone by fast!

    Love,

    Lisa

  2. Paris Brides

    July 25, 2012

    Since I grew up overseas, I was blessed to have the opportunity to travel since I was young.  Over the years, my family has collected many precious travel memories, and I love when we reminisce about our trips. My youngest sister Kristen has a knack for spotting brides in foreign countries, and she’s snapped pictures of brides in Paris and in Rome–both of which are probably going to influence her future wedding more than anything else! Studying for my French final today led me to look up a few beautiful Paris brides. I can only imagine that they inspired more than a few little girls on their wedding days as well. :)

    Yes, it is safe to say that I am a big fan of One and Only Paris Photography–and with pictures like these, who wouldn’t be? :)

  3. Dress Envy

    April 25, 2012

    This dress is so fantastic, it’s not even fair.

    Are you as speechless as I am? It’s from the Monique Lhuillier Spring 2013 bridal collection, as shown on Wedding Chicks the other day, and I haven’t been able to stop admiring it. I am currently feeling like one lucky duck that if all goes according to plan, I’ll be able to play with dresses as over-the-top and fabulous as this for my whole life. I definitely picked the right career. ;)

    Love,

    Lisa

  4. Charming Pink Colorado Wedding

    April 23, 2012

    With spring in full swing and summer just around the corner, I can’t get enough of weddings that are bright, colorful, and full of fun! This gorgeous Colorado wedding fits the bill in every category, thanks to the generous use of hot pink accents, the bride’s amazing Jim Hjelm (one of my all-time favorite wedding dresses!), and the beautiful photography by Angie Wilson Photography. I can’t think of a prettier way to start the last week of April!

    {Vendors: Photographer: Angie Wilson Photography| Ceremony venue: Ryssby Church| Reception venue: Rembrandt Yard| Wedding dress: Jim Hjelm| Bridesmaid dresses: Priscilla of Boston| Flowers: Petals| Cake and cupcakes: Mulberries Cake Shop| Custom cake topper: Together Forever| Catering: Catering by Design}

    Thanks so much to the wonderful photographer, Angie, for letting me share this lovely wedding, and I hope you’ll all  join me in wishing her a very happy birthday!! :)

    Love,

    Lisa

  5. Love List

    April 13, 2012

    Happy Friday! Sorry for the late start today–I was up late last night working on a really fun project that I hope I’ll get to share soon! I’m excited to be posting this week’s love list because I’m turning 22 on Sunday, and these are some of the favorite happy pictures as of late. John is arriving tonight to spend the weekend with me, and we’re going out to brunch tomorrow at a really cute place with a group of my best friends in Austin. Since my birthday is toward the end of the school year, it always makes me reflect on what I’ve done or accomplished in the past year. At this time last year, I was stressed and lonely in Pittsburgh, but was so thankful to have my friends from Ohio come spend my 21st with me. I also got accepted as a transfer to Texas on my actual birthday, and it’s so crazy and surreal to think that it’s been almost a year now! I feel blessed. 21 has been a good one and I have high hopes for 22 :)

    {Such phenomenal pictures of a confetti ceremony send-off at a town hall in Italy! This brings the idea of a city hall wedding to a whole new level. By Giuli & Giordi Photography via Snippet and Ink}

    {Twirling around the Metropolitan Building in New York City decked out in couture bridal gowns? I literally cannot think of anything that sounds more fun! Be sure to check out the rest of this shoot, because it is Marie Antoinette-inspired and could not be more decadently gorgeous. By Judy Pak Photography via Style Me Pretty}

    {When I celebrated my birthday with my family last weekend, my mom and I whipped up this Devil’s Food Bavarian Torte. It’s Camille Styles’ go-to cake recipe, so we knew it would be good! It was absolutely delicious, and couldn’t be easier to put together. Leftovers did not last long! Via Camille Styles.

    {Speaking of cakes, I think more should wear balloons, don’t you? :) Love this whimsical cake topper by Potter and Butler}

    {I’m going to go ahead and say that this shot is my traditional birthday post picture. It’s just so happy and sparkly, I can’t resist! Note to self: plan a sparkly birthday party next year :P By Joielala Photographie via Grey Likes Weddings}

    Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Remember–cupcakes and champagne make tax day much more enjoyable. And you officially have an excuse to indulge in both. ;)

    Love,

    Lisa
