Social media fame is one interesting topic to talk on. Back in the old days, people used to get fame because of their talent, but today, all it takes to become a social media celebrity is a good sense of humor, a little bit of sarcasm, a nice display picture and an influencing caption or bio. The meaning of social media fame has changed. Be it actors, athletes, musicians, makeup artists, or even politicians, social media fame hits them all.
The center of discussion today would be Barack Obama (the old American president) versus Donald Trump (the today’s president). Who among the two got more social media fame?
Barack Obama – The First Social Media President
Barack Obama, along with being a president, he too was a social media star. He slayed his Twitter account with all those amazing tweets. He was given the title of the First Social Media President. He was the first president who went live on Facebook or used a snapchat filter. Obama’s tweet represents the kind of person he is; calm, ambitious, and determined. He made himself comfortable with many social networks.
He never disrespected someone in his tweets, never said something inappropriate, always said positive and motivating things and people loved his tweets. He is a down to earth type of a person who is always there to help people. Its obvious people have expectations with someone who is in power. And a person in power should always reflect sweet gestures and be kind in his speech like Obama.
Donald Trump – The Famous Twitter Personality
Donald Trump on the other hand, unlike Obama, uses harsh speech. The opposing tweets of the two, Obama and Trump, tell us much about their temperament. His tweets convey negativity, and he often directly attacks American people in his tweets which is very wrong on part of a president. His tweets show up to the audiences almost eleven times a day. All these tweets are personal attacks on other people, usually the focus in upon the media. His speech is insulting and offensive. Have a look on this tweet by the president Donald Trump;
Is this the type of a speech a president should use? No matter how much power or authority a person has, if he is not careful with his words, he is respected by none.
What we analyze from his tweets is that he is a disturbed and an impatient person with an outrageous personality who is always ready to attack other people. It is very obvious that the audience do not like him the way it liked Obama. Even in his Facebook profile, Trump portrays himself as a self-centered man who is currently in power.
It is clear that there lies a huge personality difference between Obama and Trump. The question was who got more social media fame like followers on twitter and instagram likes specially between the two. It is indeed Obama, recognized as the first social media president. He through his positive speech and kind behavior won the hearts of the social media audience. On the contrary, Trump promotes negativity. And how can people love and support someone who is impatient and self-centered?
